Ecology

Considering that the basic raw material for the production of pellets is wood waste (sawdust, shavings, wood dust), it is a fuel made from a material that is a renewable source of energy, because wood in forests grows again.

Who we are?

The company ISSA PP s.r.o., which belongs to the Czech group ALTA, ensures the sale of pellets produced in its own pelletizing lines in the Turčianske Teplice, Kežmarok - Ľubica, Zákamenné operations.

Quality

A1 pellets are produced exclusively from high-quality spruce wood, from which we produce our own sawdust without bark and without chemical binders.

Who we are?

The company ISSA PP s.r.o., which belongs to the Czech group ALTA, ensures the sale of pellets produced in its own pelletizing lines in the Turčianske Teplice, Kežmarok – Ľubica, Zákamenné operations.

At the Turčianske Teplice plant, we produce pellets in the  A1 class and deliver them packed in 15 kg plastic bags. In the Kežmarok – Ľubica plant and in the Zákamenné plant, we produce pellets in class A2. We deliver packaged in 15 kg plastic bags or in so-called big bags.

How do we make pellets?

A1 pellets are produced exclusively from high-quality spruce wood, from which we produce our own sawdust without bark and without chemical binders. We produce A2 pellets from sawdust that we buy from suppliers. Pellets are created in special presses under high pressure, while a substance called lignin, which is contained in wood, is released. Thanks to lignin, the pellets stick together.

Properties of pellets

  1. Moisture: Pellets should have low moisture, usually less than 10%. High humidity could reduce their effectiveness and increase pollutant emissions.

Ash: Pellets should have a low ash content, usually less than 1%. A high ash content could reduce their effectiveness and increase pollutant emissions.

Energy: Pellets should have a high energy value, usually higher than 17 MJ/kg. The high energy value means that the pellets are a powerful fuel and cause less harmful emissions.

Coarseness: Pellets should be approximately the same size and coarseness so that they can be easily stored and fed to the boiler.

Certification: A1 pellets should be certified to the A1 standard, which guarantees that they meet strict quality and efficiency requirements.

A certificate on the quality of our A1 pellets is a matter of course.
